Mr. David Leslie Richardson transitioned from this life on March 26, 2023 in Orlando, Florida at the age of 66. David was born on January 9, 1957 in Jamaica Long Island, New York to parents, Alfred Richardson and Betty Lemon Richardson.
David relocated to Whiteville, North Carolina at the age of nine years old. There he met the love of his life Myra Nobles. They married in 1979 and shared 43 loving years together. They were blessed with one son, David De’Andre Alexander Richardson, their pride and joy.
David retired from the United States Navy after 18 years of devoted service. He was a member of the Medical Assistant Association, Alumni Association of Columbia College and Florida Technical College where he received an Honorary Doctorate degree.
David was a proud grandfather who truly enjoyed spending quality time with his grandchildren and creating special memories with family and friends. He was an avid sports enthusiast, who was loved by everyone that knew him. Truly a man that never met a stranger.
He is preceded in death by parents, Alfred Richardson and Betty Lemon Ivey; brothers Michael and Ulessy Richardson (Debora); brothers-in-law, Kelvin Nobles Sr. and Alexander Nobles Jr, and a niece, Badriyyah (Dee Dee) Richardson.
David leaves his loving and devoted wife of 43 years, Myra A. Richardson; son, David De’Andre Alexander Richardson (Denise); granddaughters, Gabrielle and Victoria Richardson; grandsons, Azariah and Isaiah Richardson; sisters, Annett Flemmings (Dwyke) and Dietrich Murray; special nephews, Alquan Thomas and Dontae Johnson; step-father, John Henry Ivey; mother-in-law, Claris A. Nobles; sister-in-law, Deborah Richardson (Russell); brothers-in-law, Felix T. Nobles (Kimberly) and Jervis Allen (Donna) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends to cherish his legacy.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 10 a.m. until 12 noon at Saint Mary’s Missionary Baptist Church. The Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 12 noon at Saint Mary’s Missionary Baptist Church 4695 South Conway Road Orlando, FL 32812.
