Mrs. Edith Hilerme most affectionately known as "Soso" passed away on August 15, 2024 in Kissimmee, Florida at the age of 74. She was born on December 16, 1949 in Petionville, Haiti to her parents, St. Jean Desruisseaux and Tulia Loussaint.
Later, she pursued a career in nursing and served the community as a Hospice Nurse. She met and married the love of her life, Yves Hilerme.
Soso was a proud member of First Haitian Baptist Church where she served as a member of the Choir, Women's Group and Prayer Group. She also enjoyed sewing, cooking, taking care of animals, and adding to her dove collection. She was adored by everyone who knew her and she is truly missed.
Mrs. Edith Hilerme is preceded in death by her father, Saint Jean Desruisseaux; her mother, Tulia Desruisseaux and her brother, Jacques (Kiki) Desruisseaux.
She leaves her devoted husband, Yves Hilerme; her daughter, Gwendolyn Hilerme; her son, Yvenson Hilerme; her bonus son, Samuel Hilerme; her grandchildren, Aydin, Alaynah, Annabella, Aryella, Ambellyna, Alleyanna; her brother, Max Desruisseaux; her sisters, Rose Menager & Marie Jocelyn Andre and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended relatives and friends to cherish her legacy.
A Visitation for "Soso" will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at First Haitian Baptist Church of Kissimmee. The Celebration of Life Service will also be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024 immediately following the Visitation at 11:00 a.m. at First Haitian Baptist Church of Kissimmee 900 South Thacker Avenue Kissimmee, FL 34741.
