Elder Ephraim W. Laidley Sr., most affectionately known as “Mikey” passed way on June 2, 2023 in Orlando, Florida at the age of 59. He was born on July 4, 1963 in Kingston, Jamaica to his parents, Enos Laidley and Beatrice Phillips.
Later, Elder Laidley married the love of his life, Marcia Burke. They shared 38 years of marriage and 3 children.
Elder Laidley worked as a Physical Therapist Assistant at Orlando Health Rehab. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, soccer, reading and walking. He was most passionate about evangelism and carrying out his personal ministry. As a result, he led many souls to Christ. He was a proud member of Poinciana Seventh Day Adventist Church where he was a Church Board member and Prayer Leader.
Elder Laidley is preceded in death by his father, Enos Laidley; mother, Beatrice Phillips and siblings, Joslyn Laidley, Delores Laidley and Petrona Hall.
Elder Ephraim W. Laidley Sr. leaves his loving and devoted wife of 38 years, Marcia Laidley; his children, Ephraim W. Laidley Jr., Michael Laidley, Crystal Laidley; his granddaughter, Eliana Laidley; daughter-in-law, Betina Laidley; his siblings, Keith Johnson, David Hall, Joseph Laidley, Herbert Brown, Victoria Brown and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends to forever cherish his legacy.
A Viewing will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Poinciana Seventh Day Adventist. The Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Poinciana Seventh Day Adventist Church.
