Gwendoline Adina Hamilton-Moore, affectionately known as Peggy, was born on August 18, 1936, in Kingston, Jamaica. She radiated warmth and joy throughout her life, embodying a gentle spirit that touched the hearts of all who knew her. Peggy's journey of love came to a peaceful end on January 10, 2025, in Kissimmee, Florida, but her legacy will forever remain in the memories of those she cherished.
After relocating to the United States, Peggy dedicated 14 years of her life to her career at Walmart, where her kindness and dedication made a lasting impact on her colleagues and customers alike. Her caring nature extended beyond her work; she was a true friend and confidante, always available with a listening ear and comforting words. Peggy’s personality was characterized by her loving demeanor and willingness to put others before herself. She truly embodied the essence of compassion.
Peggy enjoyed many hobbies, among them the exhilaration of horseback riding, a passion that allowed her to connect with nature and find joy in the simple pleasures of life. This zest for life shone brightly in her interactions, and she fostered an environment of love and acceptance wherever she went.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Lloyd T. Moore, with whom she shared 35 wonderful years of marriage, filled with laughter and cherished memories. Though their hearts are heavy with loss, Lloyd and those who were close to Peggy will find solace in their fond recollections of her vibrant spirit.
Peggy was preceded in death by her dear parents, Mildred Goodrige and Gladston Hamilton, who undoubtedly shaped the remarkable woman she became. Their legacy lives on through Peggy's kindness and the love she bestowed upon others.
A Visitation to celebrate Peggy's life will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM, followed by a Celebration of Life from 9:45 AM to 11:00 AM at Richard Funeral Services, located at 233 N. 9th Street, Haines City, FL 33844.
While the world has lost an incredibly loving and caring soul, Peggy's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the honor to know her. Her love, kindness, and unyielding care for others are her enduring gifts to us all.
