Nirmo "Tony" Arocho

November 16, 1934 — June 26, 2023

Nirmo Anthony Arocho, affectionately known as “Tony” passed away peacefully at the age of 88 on June 26, 2023 at home in Davenport, FL. He was a beloved husband to Mary R. La Mantia Arocho for 30 years and a loving father to Leila E. Arocho, Elaine Ferrari, Mark Kent, Sabine Goetzmann and Victor Anthony Arocho.

Tony proudly and honorably served in the United States Army for 20 years and was awarded the Bronze Star. He served two tours in the Vietnam War and one tour in the Korean War. He also held a position as US Sky Marshall in 1971 and 1972. Prior to his retirement, he worked for The Rida Associates for 15 years.

Tony had many interests spanning from Western Movies, Bowling, Landscaping, and his love for the NY Mets. He was known for his great cooking skills, especially when it came to BBQ ribs. Most importantly Tony cherished time spent with family and friends.

Tony is survived by five children, twelve grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Mr. Arocho was preceded in death by his parents, Juan Catalino Arocho and Joaquina Alvarez Arocho.

The Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023 from 2:00p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Richard Funeral Services. 233 North 9th Street Haines City, FL 33844.

The family would like to thank everyone for their condolences during this difficult time. May his memory live on forever.
