Romauni "Tookie" Berkett

Romauni Berkett, most affectionately known as “Tookie” passed away on September 21, 2023 in Lauderdale, Florida. He was born on April 27, 2004 in Tarpon Springs to his parents, Charles Borders and Laytanya Bembow.

Tookie worked in Maintenance for the City of Plantation. He was such a pleasure to be around and he is already missed by everyone who knew him.

Romauni Berkett leaves his loving mother, Laytanya Bembow; his father, Charles Borders and a host of grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends to cherish his memories.

A Visitation for Mr. Berkett will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Greater Mount Moriah Primitive Baptist Church 1225 North Nebraska Avenue Tampa, FL 33602. The Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Mount Moriah A.M.E. Church 722 S. Disston Avenue Tarpon Springs, FL 34689.
